In my realm, there is a settlement of people called the Gorons who live all the way up in the volcanic mountains of Hyrule. Their bodies are make of rock, and so they can live in highly combustible regions without adverse affects.
However, naturally any travelers cannot go there without catching on fire. The elixir you drank prevents that from happening, making travel safe.
